Back among the living!

Wow - I have not had strep throat since I was a kid and it just completely wiped me out.  Thank heavens for an understanding and capable DH who was able to handle the house and kids and allow me to sleep 20-22 hours a day to recover!  My body is still weak, but at least I feel healthy and I have a whole slew of backlogged work and new deadlines to face.

I haven't felt like sewing at all.  I even let packages of fabric sit for almost a week unopened - imagine that!  But I did feel up to an outing on Sunday, so I made a quick trip to my guild's quilt show.  It was a little disappointing - only one quilt that made me say "Wow."   I guess my heart wasn't into it.

Happy Spring everyone!

  1. Glad to hear you're up and about. I have been sick too and this has wiped me out. I finally have a Dr.'s appointment tomorrow to find out what the heck is going on. No sewing in my house either.

  2. Welcome back from the abyss! Sewing will take awhile, sitting upright is a big thing right now! Too bad about the quilt show - how disappointing.

  3. Ugh! I hate strep-throat. You must have been REALLY sick not to open up packages! I have to admit I packaged up the yarn I got from you and I've been quilting instead. :)

  4. I've been so busy I didn't even see your post until today! I am so happy you are back on your feet Lisa. It is so fortunate that no one else in your family came down with strep. It is so contagious. My son had it once so bad, he nearly had to be hospitalized.
Your interest in sewing will be back before you know it! I can't wait to see what you get done by the time I return from my vacation in two weeks!
