Homework, too?

PinkI didn't realize I'd have homework from the quilt store too!  We were all asked to make 2 blocks for our shop quilt to promote the Quilt Pink event in September.  We're using this free Moda pattern and pink fabrics from our own stashes.  Since there are 12 employees and we needed 25 blocks, I offered to make the extra.

Our shop is also selling little packets for $5 that include a Moda U block pattern and 4 fat eighths of either pink and white or pink and brown fabrics (LOVE the pink and brown!).  Customers will get a raffle ticket for each completed block they return to our shop, for a chance to win a great gift basket.  We hope to be able to construct 5 quilts for the ebay Quilt Pink auction effort.

  1. I really like that variation of the Sawtooth block--it kind of floats on the background fabric rather than going right up to the seam. And that pink toile fabric you used for the middle block...that is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I could do a whole quilt out of that fabric! Except at the moment I am a bit tired of pink. (I think you know what I mean!)

  2. I just checked out the link to your shop where you work. OMG. That looks like a fabulous place! There is NOTHING like it near me! I would be begging them to let me work there, just to be around all that great fabric and inspiration. You are so lucky!

  4. I do so want to participate in that! I am going to, by golly! Not for the raffle ticket, but just because it's a cause that's near and dear to my heart.
Your blocks are so pretty, Lisa! Thanks for sharing the pattern, too!

  6. Thank you for visiting my blog. Your name will surely be in the drawing for the book along with the other goodies that go along with it.
Your quilting is amazing! Although I sew, I have never quilted before.
