Finally, some quilty progress! I just finished piecing the top to a project I started last fall - the pattern is Opening Day by Carrie Nelson/Miss Rosie's Quilt Company, and it's made using Moda's Roman Holiday line of fabrics. I love the way this quilt top turned out. There were many pieces, but it came together perfectly, I had no problems at all with the construction, and I'm just thrilled with the results. A great pattern and a great group of fabrics.
This one is beautiful. I love it! Hope you keep this one for yourself and enjoy it for many years to come. Nancy in WI
ReplyDeleteThis turned out so pretty! I know you are proud of it. Now I have to go look and see if this is one of the patterns I have of Miss Rosie's. Great job!

ReplyDeleteHugs Mary.
Lisa it is absolutely gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIt's a beautiful quilt!
ReplyDeleteStunning! Incredibly gorgeous! =)
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful. Those borders are fantastic and I always love any quilt with that variable star block.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt is gorgeous. You can't beat the Variable Star block. I've always loved it. And tell your daughter to keep up the good work. It's great to hear that a new generation is making quilts. (And she's so pretty too.)
ReplyDeleteThat quilt is just stunning and I LOVE the layer cake stars you showed. Oooooh -- that one has me ITCHING to play!
ReplyDeleteLook at you! I LOVE the way this turned out! Now I need to get going and get mine done. That is just too pretty for words.
ReplyDeleteThis is just a gorgeous, yummy quilt. I love the pattern and the fabric. I have that pattern and now that I see yours I really want to get it made. Great job!
ReplyDeleteJeez Lisa... I know it isn't a huge obstacle to overcome, but you're not supposed to make your quilt THAT much better than mine! You already know I love your Zuzu's Petals. This new one is absolutely gorgeous and I can see why you love it! And yours is perfect... one of the borders on mine is backwards. And, no, thanks to the magic of photo-editing, it doesn't show in the picture. And, see, I told you flying geese are a good thing! Congratulations on finishing your beautiful quilt. :)
ReplyDeleteLisa, your quilt is beautiful!!!
ReplyDeleteOh Lisa, I love this. Wow! And do you know I have this fabric line and this pattern. How cheesy of me would it be to copy? ;)
ReplyDeleteCheesy but Cool Love, *karendianne.
Hi! Lisa. Your quilt is beautiful and its even better when it comes together without a hitch. I love the colors too. Have a great day. sandy
ReplyDeleteThis reminds me so much of a starry one from Marsha McCloskey's book -- the one on Borders ... she might have done it with Judy Martin. Anyway, this looks so similar -- except I like yours better.
ReplyDeleteTalented, you definitely are that L. :)
What a great pattern, and the fabrics you chose suit it perfectly! Simply stunning, Lisa!
