I took advantage of a glorious 4 day weekend to do some sewing. I got the borders on my Orange Berry Blast quilt and I just love the end result. I really like how the striped fabric is mitered in the corners. This was a very fun quilt to make, and like Nicole, I think I am hooked on batiks!
And the best part? It's only Sunday - I have one more day to start a new quilt project!
Mmmm, good looking quilt! I just love it! It is easy to get hooked on buying batiks, ask me how I know. It will be fun to see what the two of you dream up next.
ReplyDeleteThe quilt looks great!
ReplyDeleteInspiring....This turned out awesome. Some more batiks made there way home with me today, heehee. Wonder how that keeps happening.
ReplyDeleteI'm in LOVE with this quilt. That's all I can say. I don't know that I've ever seen batik with stripes. I need to find this book because I love this pattern. Nancy in WI
ReplyDeleteLots and lots and lots of piecing. Looks perfect.
ReplyDeleteThat is beyond beautiful. Nice job!
ReplyDeleteExcellent! Very bright and cheerful! I like how the design intersects the border-very effective.
ReplyDelete(A sock monkey quilt is posted!)
Absolutely delicious! Love it!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous! I love this quilt! Are you still going to call it Orange Berry Blast? I really love the name too. Those OBB scraps of yours might look really good in my scrap basket... of course, if you've fallen head-over-heels in love with batiks, you probably also need a good home for all the "other" fabric you have that you'll never use now. :)
ReplyDeleteGreat job ~ and tell DD that if she doesn't want it, I'm sure there are a couple of ladies here that would happily give your beautiful quilt a loving home.
This really has to be my favorite ever. Congratulations on an absoltuely stunning finish!
