Realizing that our Moda You meeting was this Thursday night, I set aside the Maison de Noel fabrics I've been cutting to work on the pairs of blocks for Green Piece Month 2 and Month 3. Pairs, you say? I don't see pairs of blocks, Lisa. No, you don't - because Lisa miscut the background on Month 2 blocks (and yes, I did the same dang thing with Month 1 and had to go buy more fabric). Then I cut ever so carefully for Month 3 and - son of a gun - I miscut the background again! If you're keeping score, that's 3 for 3. Hey Joyce - can you please just give me a fat quarter from now on instead of a fat eighth? Maybe this month I'll learn....
In other news, our new refrigerator was delivered today. It's so nice to have this roomy, ultra-modern new appliance. We're hosting Christmas dinner at my house again this year - this baby will hold a lot of food! Here's "Vanna" showing off the new beauty.
Love your blocks. But your new fridge (with awesome "Vanna" attached) is to die for! I'm super envious!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love that style of fridge with the freezer drawer on the bottom. What a great early Christmas present.
ReplyDeleteOh doesn't Vanna look beautiful? It's delightful to see her dressed down and casual. I find that's her best look!!! Congratulations on the ultra-modern new appliance - that rocks! It will be great for the hosting of the holidays and, later, it's going to be a great spot to dive into during my dark-o-night thievin.' You can't imagine but I get hungry. It's a long darn way from this southern state all the way to your state. Sheesh, I tell ya.
ReplyDeleteI can't believe you've got "stuff" on the front of that new fridge already!! That didn't take long. It looks great, so does "Vanna"
ReplyDeleteThat girl has a future in television commercials, I tell you. She has a million dollar smile!
ReplyDeleteI covet your fridge. I don't like the one I have one bit. My husband bought it when I was on vacation visiting my sister one time. I didn't get consulted at all. I think there is some kind of law about that.
You had better get more of that fabric for your blocks while it is still available. You may need it...
Merry Christmas, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteHI Lisa! That looks a lot like our new Squash House fridge! Hope you enjoy it as much as we do! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
ReplyDeleteCheers!
I hope it's acceptable for doting Grandma's to comment. I love the blocks -- and the blockhead who miscut them -- and I do swear that is the "most adorable" Vanna ever!

How is your Green Piece project?? I'm collecting fabrics and also hope to start this year. I was looking for other quilters also join this project and thats how i find you. There are not many blogs to find about this quilt. Hope you finished already many blocks. Did you used the original fabric? I think I have to find what I can get. In the Netherlands there is also no woolfelt of Moda.
