Welcome to the Blog Hop!
I'm glad you have joined me for a week dedicated to showcasing some great quilts from Monique Dillard's new book, Traditional Fat Quarter Quilts. Get it at your local quilt shop or preview and order the book from C&T Publishing.
The line up of participating blogs includes:
Monday - Thelma from Cupcakes 'n Daisies
Tuesday - My Turn!
Wednesday - Denise from Quilters Window and Monique from Open Gate Quilts
Thursday - Sherri from A Quilting Life
Friday - Carrie from La Vie en Rosie and Nicole from Sister's Choice Quilts
Be sure to stop by and comment on each blog on their featured day for a chance to win prizes!
Please come back tomorrow to see the project I've been working on - here's a preview from the book of my project, Spider.

I am so excited to see your quilt top! Especially since I got a word in advance as to what fabric you are using!

Looks great, very fresh and springy looking.
ReplyDeletewow nice quilt. love the scrappy blocks!
ReplyDeleteThat is a neat looking block- very eye catching. The name 'Spider' is appropriate.
ReplyDeleteThe Spider block is very eye catching; think it would look great as a two-color quilt also. Will put the Book on my wish list.

Love that block !!! And your modified version as well !!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to get the book :)!!!
Love that quilt. Also cannot wait to get the book. My favorite precuts are the fat eights bundles as well because they are alot less than the fat quarter precuts.
ReplyDeleteI really like this one! Looks very summery. I'll be back for the next post! :)
ReplyDeleteWell, I missed yesterdays Cupcakes'n Daisies! But I am trying to keep up, Monique has a great ruler: fit to be geese. It works great! I would love to win her book and try those pretty patterns. I like fat quarters but I did buy the French Generals La Petite Ecole fat eights bundle and haven't used it yet. Thank you for the tip with the layer cakes!
ReplyDeleteI hope I am not too late , but anyway I want to tell you how much I like the spider block.
ReplyDeleteI don't think I've ever seen this block. Very nice and I love your choice of colors for it -- it's so Springy looking!
ReplyDeleteLove the spring colors, can't wait for the book.
