Sometimes you *should* procrastinate

Like when your mitered corners aren't coming out right....

I put the borders on my Allemande quilt and started the mitering process last night.  The first corner was less than stellar.  Not a "do over," but certainly not perfection, either.  I decided to wait until everything "clicked" to try it again.  Hopefully that will happen this weekend.

Planning a jaunt to 2 quilt shop tomorrow - one I don't get to often because of the distance and the other is new to me, though I have seen her booth at quilt shows.  Birthday money is burning a hole in my pocket.

Have a wonderful weekend, everyone!

  1. Those Allemande borders are just jinxed I think. Just in a fussy annoying way. Eventually they will decide to cooperate. You just need a little shopping break and everything will fall into place perfectly!

  2. OK, you need to just send that Allemande quilt to me - with the border fabric! I'll sew the borders on, although I can't promise mitering (well, maybe), quilt it and sew on the binding! By the way, did I mention that I'll be keeping it. LOL This will solve your challenge - you can go shopping tomorrow and just buy a new refreshing project.
I guess I miss your birthday - Belated wishes to you!
